How I got started on my path as a breast health practitioner was when I just started my Ayurvedic studies in 2003. Someone very dear to me had a radical mastectomy, both of her breasts were removed. With radical mastectomies all the breast tissue and nipple are removed, all the lymph nodes in the armpit and muscles in the chest wall. She suffered from lymphatic build up which resulted in painful lymphedema. Around this time I met Daya Fitch, founder of the Breast Health Project, and started studying with her and focused my Ayurvedic training/practice on women's health.
Today I help women with an array of breast issues from breast cancer to fibercystic breasts to mastitis from breast feeding. Or just for greater breast health!
